IT'S good to see that my psychic powers of prediction are still spot on: David Sneddon did indeed knock Girls Aloud off the top spot with his debut Stop Living The Lie.
And also those Tatu girls are getting plenty of publicity with their song which is released on Monday. And actually the songs is not bad! It remains to be seen whether the Russian twosome will be following in David Sneddon's footsteps and topping the charts with their particular quirky charm.
This week Blazin' Squad have teamed up with Key 103 to tour schools in the North-west. As you can imagine, this has been received with some excitement. After all, getting close to a pop group certainly beats double maths!
Elsewhere in the pop world, the build up to the Brits is underway and there are some likely and not so likely candidates lined up to take home a gong or two. Best British Male Solo Artist could go to Robbie Williams or, as is being hotly tipped, The Streets while the British Female Solo award is likely to go to Ms Dynamite.
Contenders for Best British Album are Coldplay and once again The Streets. And my money's on Eminem for International Male Solo Artist, though the one and only Boss Mr Bruce Springsteen is in the same category. Hmmm.
Another golden oldie, Tom Jones, is also earmarked for an Outstanding Contribution to Music award. Alas, we'll have to wait until February to find out who gets what.
In the meantime, get listening to the Smash Hits Buzz chart on Saturdays, where you can vote for who you think is worthy of a place in our top five! Much better than a Brit Award any day!
