LOCAL band Barfly are set to play the Witchwood, Ashton, following recent radio airplay of their latest track, Unbreakable.
The band, including vocalist Greg Matthews and drummer Trevor Sale from Bolton, had their track played on Century FM in the North-west Top 5 by ex-Inspirals keyboard player Clint Boon. The song has also received national airplay on Talksport and In Ireland on 2FM.
Barfly recently played a set at Dublin Castle in Camden for the Fierce Panda record label, who have worked with such bands as Coldplay and Embrace.
This forthcoming gig at the Witchwood sees Barfly in support of The Bandits, who themselves have supported Oasis, The Coral and The Vines. And the future looks bright for the band who are currently in discussions about a recording deal, and are planning the release of new material later this year.
Until then catch the band in action at the Witchwood on Thursday at 8.30pm.
