RETIRED miner James Walker died from industrial disease, Bolton Coroner Jennifer Leeming decided.
Leigh-born Mr Walker, aged 76, of Sherwood Drive, Astley, had been a miner for 25 years, from the age of 14 until he was forced to take early retirement due to severe chest problems.
A post mortem examination revealed the cause of his death last September was due to a respiratory disease.
