THE case of a Bolton man whose dog is alleged to have attacked a pensioner who later died has been adjourned until next month.
Peter Carter was bitten in the neck and face by an English Bull Terrier in an incident outside his home in Thompson Road, Heaton, last November.
The 83-year-old was taken to Wythenshaw Hospital for surgery but died later.
David John O'Connor, aged 34, from Newbarn Street, Smithills, is charged with owning a dog dangerously out of control. Bolton magistrates adjourned the case until Friday, February 14. O'Connor was not in court for the brief hearing.
