A PIGEON fancier is distraught after burglars stole his pet homing pigeon.
The grey and blue checked cock called Harry was taken from the garage in Maud Street, Chorley.
And the upset owner, who does not wish to be named, is offering a reward for information leading to his safe return.
The 61-year-old man rescued Harry from Manchester city centre 14 months ago after finding him injured in the street.
He has spent the last week combing the streets looking for his beloved pet.
He said: "Harry never went out. I don't know if he was scared by something that happened to him when he was a chick but he would never fly out of the garage on his own."
A £50 reward for information about Harry or the thieves who stole him has been put up. Anyone who can help can ring the owner on 01257 273001, Chorley Police on 01257 246222, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
