MANCHESTER Airport says London-bound commuters are letting the plane take the strain. Bosses report a huge increase in passengers flying to London airports.

Passenger numbers on domestic services to London's Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and City of London Airports rose by 29 per cent in December.
