There are 19 teams entered into to the Sam Smith team knockout, 13 teams have a bye. The following three matches are to be played on Wednesday January 29 -- Ellesmere RC v Cross Guns, Sportsman v Jolly Waggoner, Belle Vue v Halliwell CRC X.

The competition is played on a round robin basis. Best of nine games, three horses per game. Players to draw out for down on each visit to the table.
