BURY Under 15s are through to the semi finals of the North West Schools Alder Cup following their 5-1 win against St. Helens.
Oliver Newton fired them in front from 18 yards and Damien Quigley added the second seven minutes later before Lee Bruce gave Bury a comfortable 3-0 half-time lead.
Quigley and Matthew Garside completed the scoring.
Bolton Under 15s' second round clash against Rossendale was postponed.
Meanwhile, Bolton Under 14s take on South Cheshire in the North West Woodward Trophy second round at Nantwich Town tomorrow, kick-off 7.30pm.
The Under 14s have been in fine form this season and they have won four and
drawn one of their five games to date but they have been without a match
since November 30 when they beat Warrington 2-1 in the Greater Manchester
Schools' League.
At county level, Greater Manchester Under 16s are in action this week taking
on Lancashire at Stalybridge Celtic FC on Wednesday, kick off 7.00p.m.
