Eagley 5 Wyre Villa 0: EAGLEY manager Pete Darby was delighted after his side's 5-0 demolition of Wyre Villa in the West Lancs Richardson Cup quarter final.
On form striker Rob Howarth opened the scoring on 15 minutes with a cool finish from six yards after good work down the left from Tony Burnett.
And on 27 minutes they went two up after Rob Howarth grabbed his second goal following a Neil Matthews cross, before Andy Wilkinson scored a fine free kick on 55 minutes from all of 25 yards.
It came as no surprise when Howarth completed a fine hat-trick on 70 minutes and Chris Williams completed the scoring on 75 minutes to put Eagley in the semi-final of the West Lancashire League's Blue Ribband Trophy for the first time in ten seasons.
Meanwhile Blackrod Town had Milnthorpe Corinthians' goalkeeper to thank after their 3-2 league win.
With the game level in the dying minutes, the stopper charged out to clear a through ball but was caught in two minds and missed the ball completely. Chris Tonge slotted home to grab the win.
Blackrod went ahead in the 46th minute with a Sam Grundy effort, but were soon 2-1 down.
Grundy added a second to equalise, before Town's Rob Findlow and a Milnthorpe player were sent off for a scuffle.
Arron Leece saved Tempest's blushes with a late equaliser against the Lancashire Police.
Tempest went a goal down thanks to a defensive error but were soon back on level terms thanks to a goal from Mohmea.
They fell behind again but Leece pounced five minutes from time to share the spoils.
