I CAN'T remember the last time I saw children playing on the motorway.

However, only yesterday I saw children playing in a nearby street. The street in question has speed humps, and only yesterday I saw a car of youths speed over these humps at what I would consider a reckless speed. I assume these youths are getting enjoyment from this, and therefore I suggest a change in road signage laws to allow "repeater" speed signs within built-up areas.

Even better would be to erect speed limit signs that have a "Children Playing!" graphics. Most efficacious would be to erect functional speed cameras in all built-up areas. If this costs too much, take them from the motorways -- children are more precious, and play in streets more often than they have motorway car journeys (a subjective though logical observation).
