I NOTICE with dismay the new walls (back and front) of the houses in Ainsworth Lane.
I am not saying that they don't look nice, because they do.
The only thing I am dismayed at is that nothing is ever done on Crompton Way. There are a variety of fences, walls, etc which do not enhance a main road such as this where there is a main stream of traffic flowing by continually. What the people in cars, coaches and buses etc must think is anyone's guess?
It doesn't give a good impression of Bolton to the passing public. I would have thought that a main road such as Crompton Way would warrant more attention than it gets.
I believe a grant was given to enhance Bolton as a whole, but I have lived on Crompton Way since 1947 and, to me, nothing has been done to bring the area into the class it deserves.
So, Bolton Council, please look around without the blindfold and make this road as pleasant as Chorley New Road.
