A SCHOOL that is improving all the time not only has the support of parents and pupils, but now education watchdogs too.
Ofsted inspectors found plenty to praise when they paid a return visit to East Ward Community Primary School, in Bury, five years after their last call.
In that time, new head teacher Jill Hazelby has taken control, infant and junior classes have come together on one site and new staff have arrived.
An Ofsted inspector reported that East Ward had satisfactorily addressed all the issues raised during the last visit in 1997.
He said the school had improved the range of learning resources and introduced a satisfactory programme of homework.
