A DOCTOR has been struck off after he hired a man convicted of kidnapping, forgery and assault to work at his surgery.
Dr Colin Ogdon, from Holcombe, was banned from practising after the General Medical Council heard that he gave Darren Gerrard access to his practice at Prestwich Health centre in Fairfax Road.
Gerrard, an ex-patient of the doctor, had no medical qualifications and was brought in as a financial adviser in 1999. He was given access to patient records and allowed to attend consultations.
