Flixton 0 Leigh RMI 7 by Martyn Hindley
RMI ran riot at Valley Road last night - their biggest victory since coming to Leigh taking them into the Lancashire Cup quarter-final.
The Railwaymen will now meet either Rossendale United or Marine in the last eight after demolishing North West Counties side Flixton.
Ex-Southport man Liam Blakeman grabbed the second goal in a comprehensive victory as RMI hit four against poor opposition before the interval.
Dino Maamria filled his boots with a hat-trick, while Andy Heald and Ged Courtney followed an own goal into the record books as Leigh extended their winning run to a third game.
With no game this Saturday, Mark Patterson has arranged a friendly at Unibond League title-chasers Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday. The Bower Fold clash kicks off at 3pm.
