BOLTON Mets ARLFC could only muster 13 players for their game at Waterhead and were made to pay by the strong Oldham outfit.
Waterhead opened the scoring after just five minutes, then followed it up with another minutes later.
It looked as if the Mets were on a hiding to nothing but Bolton's pack, led by loose forward Ryan Terry, looked the stronger of the two for the rest of the half.
Several big hits from Terry and second rower Mick Booth slowed the Oldham side down, keeping the score to 10-0 at the break.
Enforced errors from the Mets made it easy for Waterhead after the break and they ran in three more tries to clinch a convincing 26-0 win.
After the game, coach Chris Brown said: "We were missing key players and had no substitutes, yet this was the best result we've had at Waterhead."
Next week's game is at home against Rochdale Mayfield, meeting at Withins Sports Centre for 12.30pm.
