www.djmel.co.uk - HOW about a website actually put together by a Bolton bloke then?
Melvin Pendlebury is a very talented website designer. It's a bright, funky site and easy to navigate around.
Mel has gathered together a whole bunch of interesting things. Freeware and shareware utilities and games, some music and a bunch of funny things, jokes and video streams.
I'm not just saying this 'cos he's local, but this really is a very useful and enjoyable site.
SOMETHING of a personal indulgence for me (as many of these sites are I suppose).
I found this site while searching for more things to do with my Psion palmtop (and how to do them properly!).
Eric, who is Australian, not only presents here lots of info on Psions -- and other Epoch operating systems -- and plenty of links, but, if you happen to be into Science Fiction he provides a good site for that as well.
A slightly 'different' view of world news.
The Rockall Times is a web newspaper that is best described as a cross between Private Eye and Viz.
I loved their review of the Queen's 50 years on the throne.
The writers weren't impressed by Roger Bannister's fastest ever mile in 1954 because: "It lasted for less than four minutes".
SOME very strange cartoons on this site.
Look at them and vote for them.
That really is just about all there is to it.
