STAFF at Harper Green School dressed up as pop stars to take part in their very own Fame Academy.
Twelve members of staff entertained youngsters at the school, in Harper Green Road, Farnworth -- and the pupils helped raise hundreds of pounds for the privilege. Highlights of the show included a duet between humanities teacher Carl Heatley and his department head Gareth Reilly, dressed as Kirsty McColl and Shane McGowan respectively.
The concert raised £560.30 for the Kirsty Howard Appeal. Alistair dela Hoyde, head of year seven, said: "There was a wonderful atmosphere amongst staff and pupils.
"Everyone had great fun while having the satisfaction of helping others less fortunate."
