A NINE-year-old girl injured in a collision with a car at an accident blackspot in Astley Bridge is recovering well in hospital.
Vicky Launders was transferred from the intensive care unit to a neurological ward at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital at Pendlebury yesterday.
Vicky, of Padbury Way, Breightmet, suffered serious head injuries and a broken pelvis when she was in collision with a car in Crompton Way on Sunday night.
She was was crossing the busy dual carriageway with an eight-year-old friend when the accident happened shortly before 6pm.
