POLICE are searching for a car which caused an ambulance to swerve and collide with another vehicle as it was on its way to an emergency call.
The car, thought to be a Vauxhall, pulled out of Glynne Street, Farnworth, into the path of the ambulance at about 5.50pm yesterday. It was forced to swerve and crashed into a Ford Focus. The car drove off without stopping.
Police are appealing for help in tracing the car. Anyone with information should call 0161 856 5972.
A 27-year-old man from Morecambe and a 28-year-old woman from Tyldesley travelling in the Focus suffered minor cuts and bruises.
They were treated by the paramedic who also suffered minor injuries.
