HUNDREDS of real ale enthusiasts helped to turn the 14th annual beer festival at Atherton into a tasty success -- and raised funds for charity.
The three day Bent and Bongs Beer bash attracted drinkers from throughout the North-west to the Formby Hall.
A large chunk of the proceeds from the event -- organised by Atherton and Tyldesley Round Table -- will go to two children's charities.
Childflight and Francis House Children's Hospice will both benefit from the beer bash, as will several other local good causes.
In addition to a selection of real ales on sale at the festival, which ends tonight, there are various special brews, bottled beers from around the world and a selection of ciders.
Live entertainment was also available at each session.
