GREATER Manchester's former deputy chief constable John Stalker promises an arresting performance when he takes to the stage in an unlikely role.
The ex-police officer plays The Narrator in a larger than life production of The Rocky Horror Show.
In fact the touring production which visits Manchester's Opera House from February 24 to March 1 promises to be a "pearl" of a show as it celebrates its 30th anniversary with a birthday tour.
Rising star Jonathan Wilkes will be stepping into the high heels of Frank N Furter and the show will feature all the timeless classics including Sweet Transvestite, Damn It Janet and, of course, the pelvic-thrusting Time Warp.
Performances, Monday to Thursday, begin at 8pm, and on Friday and Saturday are at 6pm and 8.45pm.
