THE search is on for an acting star of the future. The West Yorkshire Playhouse is looking for a talented and enthusiastic boy to take a central role in a world premiere production.
Sunbeam Terrace is a new play by Leeds-born Mark Catley. Anyone interested in taking part should attend open an informal workshop at the Interplay Theatre on February 4, 3pm to 6pm. No previous experience is necessary.
Boys auditioning for the role must be aged 16 or over, and look 15 to 16 years. You must also be available to rehearse full time between March 3 and 27 and then carry out evening performances and some daytime shows from March 27 to April 12. Other roles will be played by professionals. The chosen youngster will be paid standard company wage. An equity card is not needed.
