A FORMER registered firearms dealer has appeared in court charged with offences relating to the unauthorised possession of ammunition and possession of an unlawfully modified .38 calibre bullet.
Ian Kirby, aged 45, of Aintree Drive, Lower Darwen, is also charged with possession of two coshes.
The case was adjourned by Blackburn magistrates until tomorrow, when he is due in court on charges of making threats to kill his estranged wife, Kay Kirby, and Jim Gibson.
Kirby was granted bail on condition he does not approach any witnesses or go within 500 metres of the boundary of his wife's home at Chapel Barn Farm, Tockholes.
He must not have any involvement with firearms and ammunition, and signed an undertaking that he would have no involvement in the day-to-day business of Target Sports, Halliwell Road, Bolton.
