A FUND to build a sensory garden at a church in Astley Bridge has been boosted by a grant of £1,300.
The Theatre Church and Community Centre received the grant from the Shell Better Britain Campaign to build a raised pool and wildlife habitat in the church's derelict grounds.
The new garden will provide an area for outdoor activities, meetings and events.
Shell Better Britain Campaign Director Sarah Betteridge said: "The church is making some amazing things happen in the local community."
