MOTORISTS travelling on the M60 to Manchester Airport from the east are being advised to allow more time for their journeys. Major roadworks starting on February 10 will affect Junction 4 for 10 weeks, said airport chiefs.
There will be lower speed limits, narrow lanes, use of the hardshoulder and slip road closures. The roadworks should improve traffic flows, with a new layout where the M56 leaves the M60 and a third lane for the clockwise M60.
If anyone wants more information, leaflets are available at the airport.
