BOLTON Hospice staff and officials celebrated their tenth anniversary with two special events over the weekend.
Hundreds of balloons were launched at the town hall square on Saturday with the winner of the furthest travelling balloon set to receive a cash prize of £50.
In the evening, a musical celebration evening was held at the Victoria Hall.
Local musical talent satisfied all tastes and featured Bolton Junior Youth Choir, The Brixi Singer, Turton Jazz Band, New Century Strings, Bolton Youth Percussion Ensemble, Canon Slade Singers and Smithills School Senior Brass Band.
David Praill, chief executive of Help the Hospices, was guest speaker.
Sponsor of the musical night was Peter and Margaret Flower Shop, and the balloon race was sponsored by Party Snobs.
