Horwich Rotary Club has donated more cash gifts to help talented youngsters in the town make the most of their abilities in sports or the arts.
In the past the club's cash awards have supported the development of individual talent in sport, music, the arts and other fields of interest by providing equipment, coaching or tuition.
This year £1,750 will be given out to applicants who the club believes will benefit from extra finance.
Last year the club had 35 applicants to its Youth Opportunity Awards Scheme.
Applicants must be resident, or attending school or college, in Horwich, Blackrod or Rivington and be under 18 on May 31, 2003.
Application forms are available from the Rotary Club of Horwich, Rivington Hall Barn, Rivington Lane, Horwich, and should be completed in the candidate's own handwriting and returned to that address by February 28.
