CARING pupils at Roscow Fold Primary School already have pride in their home town.
They have been sprucing up Bolton Arena -- and could soon be helping sweep the streets of Breightmet as well.
The youngsters, who are all aged 10 or 11, were asked what they thought of our campaign when they attended an exhibition about the Commonwealth Games.
They immediately picked up the arena caretaker's brushes and marched outside to clean up the pavement like true community champions.
Later this week, a group of campaigners will also visit their school, in Stephens Street, to give a talk about the environment.
The pupils will be encouraged to tidy up their bedrooms and will be invited to take part in a clean-up operation on the estate.
Deputy headteacher Barbara Barlow said: "Our children are setting an example for others to follow. But it's vital that other people join the Bolton Evening News's campaign."
