PETS are very important in people's lives.
And when they are sick and need help we are particularly grateful.
Lynn Kay was so glad of the extra care and attention her little puppy Elsie received that she nominated the vets, nurses and receptionists at Horwich surgery Bagguley, Boff and Friel for the BEN Bouquet of the Week.
Explained Lynn: "Elsie developed a very serious condition after only a few days with us.
"We contacted the emergency vet there, Robin and we were greeted with a really sympathetic, caring and concerned response -- even though it was very late on a Friday night.
"Elsie needed constant treatment for two weeks which involved many trips to the surgery, and we weren't sure she would make it," added Lynn.
"At all times, the vets were honest, informative and, most importantly, genuinely caring.
"We never felt rushed and they always took time to answer our questions and, where possible, put out minds at rest.
"Elsie is now back to full health. We can't thank them enough.
"But we hope that a bouquet will go to show how much we appreciate all they have done -- in particular Colin and Claire. We really do consider them to be an absolute credit to their profession."
The surgery team was delighted with the show of appreciation, and the flowers, which arrived courtesy of Caroline Ward's flower and gift delivery service (tel. 0800-289-335).
If YOU know a special someone who deserves our weekly flowers, write and tell us about them (including their daytime 'phone number) to: BOUQUET OF THE WEEK, Angela Kelly, Features Dept, Bolton Evening News, Churchgate, Bolton BL1 1DE.
