A STORE'S mascot visited a school to tell children about the importance of having breakfast.
Asda mascot Billy went along to Blackrod County Primary school's breakfast club with staff from the Horwich store, armed with cereals, fruit and bacon butties for the children as part of Farmhouse Breakfast week.
Michelle Howard, Community Development Co-ordinator of the Horwich and Blackrod Learning Community Project, said: "The children had great fun and really enjoyed the activities of the morning."
Almost three in 10 children arrive at school without eating breakfast.
