THE impact of arts-led regeneration work in Bolton has got the "thumbs up" from town hall bosses.
This follows publication of the positive conclusions of a three-year research programme which focused on the work of community group Breightmet Arts and the impact it has had on the area.
The report, compiled by arts consultant Gerri Moriarty, is the result of a research programme which she has led from 1999.
Councillor Laurie Williamson, Bolton Council Executive Member for Culture, said: "This report shows how residents link the arts to improvements in the image of the environment, as well as to increased opportunities for enjoyment and learning."
