CHRIS Armstrong's hopes of reviving his career at the Reebok appear to be more distant than ever.
The former Spurs ace was hoping Wanderers could help him put his injury problems behind him and get him back on the Premiership track.
But, apart from a runout against Bury in the Worthington Cup and a nostalgic evening on the subs' bench at White Hart Lane in October, it has been a frustrating time, although he is expected to stay until the end of the season.
"He's been unable to get to what we consider to have been a real push for a first team place," Allardyce confirmed. "It's been a shame for Chris and for us. Trying to get him to the level he used to be at has been very difficult."
