IN the photograph accompanying the article about speed humps, published in the Bolton Evening News on Thursday, January 30, the bus is travelling mostly on the wrong side of the road, due to parked cars.
Surely the main problem is the parked cars. I do not wish to start a debate as to where people are to keep their cars, but they should not be causing an obstruction as these so obviously are. If two cars can not comfortably pass it is an obstruction. Surely they also appear to be on a bend, which is also bad practice.
A previous letter said that the writer did not want speed humps, as it meant looking for them rather than looking for little feet coming from under cars. No parked cars, no need to look for feet under them.
