Death driving charge
A 36-YEAR-OLD man was due to appear in court at Bury today charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a collision in which a teenager was killed.
Police called to Whalley Road, Shuttleworth, Bury, on Friday night said a Peugeot 306 mounted the kerb, collided with a brick wall and hit a lamp post.
The front passenger, an 18-year-old Bury man, suffered serious injuries and died later in hospital.
He has not been named.

Three rear seat passengers suffered minor injuries. The driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and later charged. He has not been named by police.
