COMMUNITY groups across east Bolton will gather at Darcy Lever Cricket and Sports Club tomorrow to receive more than £29,000 in grants.
Cheques from between £300 and £10,000 will be given to 14 groups at 7pm to support activities for the local community.
They are being handed out as part of East Bolton's Regeneration's strategy to improve the quality of life for residents in Breightmet, Tonge, Hall i' th' Wood, Darcy Lever and the Haulgh.
Groups receiving cheques include Bolton Flat Green Bowling Club, which will get £10,000 to improve facilities for members.
Thicketford Bereavement Group will get £920 to help members of the community struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one.
