THE Government is under fire after the North-west was ignored in a multi-million pound hand-out to revitalise museums and galleries in the UK.
More than £70m of funding under the Renaissance in the Regions scheme has been divided among the North-east, South-west and West Midlands.
But none of the cash will go to any of the region's cultural attractions.
The North West Cultural Consortium's Felicity Goodey said: "The galleries and museums are naturally disappointed."
