A LITTLE Hulton family has been left devastated after thieves cleared hundreds of pounds worth of goods from their home.
Angela Conway had enjoyed a Saturday night out with friends, but when she returned to her semi-detached council house in Armitage Avenue, she could not get back in.
Burglars had put the security chain on the front door while they raided the house, clearing it of a Playstation 2 and games, two TV video players, a video recorder and a DVD player belonging to her three children -- Andrew, aged 15, Chloe, aged six and four-year-old Lee.
The haul also included 50 children's videos and 15 DVDs, a CD player and CDs.
Many of the items were Christmas presents for Angela's children who were staying with relatives at the time of the theft.
"The children are gutted," said Angela, a 36-year-old single parent.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contactpolice on 0161 8725050.
