RESCUE teams are searching the Lake District for two women who got lost on a walking trip.
One of the women used a mobile phone to call for an ambulance after she fell and suffered a suspected broken leg near Scafell Pike.
However, the pair, who are from north Lancashire, do not have any maps and had to describe to operators where they were.
After the call, three mountain rescue teams scoured the area in poor visibility, but found nothing.
The search resumed on Tuesday and a team from RAF Boulmer is on standby to help.
An RAF handler and his search dog from the RAF Stafford mountain rescue team have also been sent to assist in the hunt.
Both women went missing in poor weather conditions on Monday.
During the night the car belonging to the two missing women was found in a car park at Seathwaite.
