WITH only a handful of games being played this weekend due to bad weather, it is with great credit to everyone involved that these games went ahead.
On a very heavy pitch, goal hero Southworth bagged a double to ensure Atherton Town's progress into the quarter finals of the U13 Jubilee Cup, in a battling encounter from both sides with outstanding performances by Liam Lloyd (Atherton Town) and Adam Grundy (County Eagles) in a great cup tie.
In the League, both Bromley Cross and Rivington Jnrs move up their respective leagues after their recent weekend wins.
Leigh RMI move into the quarter finals of the U14 Cup with their strong win over Deans Youth, who had Riddell and May grabbing consolation goals.
In the only other match that took place, Hindsford Jnrs had a great win over County Jnrs, and they also move up the U12 League.
