THE value of networking was demonstrated at a workshop organised by Bolton Council's Ethnic Minorities Business Service.
Its 'How to network effectively' workshop was presented by Will Kintish, a speaker who has run similar sessions for key employees and managers of blue chip companies and government organisations.
Sikander Badat, head of the Ethnic Minorities Business Service, said: "Networking is essential in today's business environment.
"Many small businesses, especially those from minority ethnic businesses, lose business opportunities as they are unable to network effectively."
He added: "This workshop enabled owner managers to learn the key skills to become effective networkers."
