OUR picture of a 1941 tram crash in Folds Road, Bolton, was of particular interest to Mr Allan Green, of Bromley Cross Road, Bromley Cross. He writes: "I was a passenger on the upper deck of the tram which fell on its side.
"I finished up very close to the lamp post which cut through the upper deck. Another 12 inches and I would have contacted the lamp post!
"I received a terrific blow to the head which disturbed my vision for a time, but crawled out of the tram and carried on to work - fortunate, I think, to get off so lightly. I was 18 at the time. I wonder if any other passengers involved are still around?"
Well, if so, other passengers, please let me have your memories.
