HAD enough with giving flowers for Valentines Day? Has your beloved grown tired of truffles? If so, why not give your nearest and dearest a tree this February 14.
Red Rose Forest, in conjunction with Community Forests North-west, has started the Dedicate A Tree programme to allow people to dedicate a sapling planted in Bolton's woodlands to their lover for £10.
The trees will be planted either at Horrock Hills, near Smithills, or Higher Folds, at Gin Pit Village, near Tyldesley as part of a £9m forestry scheme in conjunction with the Forestry Commission.
Information on how to dedicate a tree can be found online at www.redroseforest.co.uk or by calling 0161 872 1660.
