DETECTIVES have interviewed a man who fled after his 41-year-old friend died from a suspected drug overdose.
The 28-year-old from Westhoughton had called the emergency services after Henry Cleary overdosed.
But he left the flat in Westwood Road, Astley Bridge, before the crew arrived.
Paramedics were called to the premises at about 4.20pm on Tuesday and Mr Cleary was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The man was traced yesterday afternoon and was interviewed by detectives. He was not arrested.
The file on the case has been referred to the coroner. An inquest will be held.
