A CHARITY quiz night is to be held to raise money for a solicitor from Bolton preparing to trek across American's Grand Canyon for sick children.
Judith Bromley, aged 40, of Junction Road, Deane -- a partner in Bolton law firm Russell and Russell -- will travel to the USA in June with 14 other adventurers.
She is hoping to raise more than £2,500 for the Manchester-based Children's Hospital Appeal Trust (CHAT) by walking 15 miles a day for five days.
CHAT raise money to buy equipment for children's hospitals across the region.
The quiz night will be held on Thursday February 20 at the Beaumont Arms, Armadale Road, Ladybridge, from 8pm.
Proceeds will go towards Judith's trek. For details, contact the pub on 01204 62028.
Judith said: "I would like to thank landlady Paula Davies for all her help."
Admittance on the night is £5 per person and includes supper. Prizes, a tombola and a raffle will also all feature.
