THE Astley & Tyldesley Miners' Welfare Cycle Speedway Club begin their pre-season on-track training sessions next weekend.
Riders will take to the track at Gin Pit this Sunday between 2 and 4pm, and on Tuesday, February 18 between 7 and 9pm. Training sessions will be held each Sunday and Tuesday through to the start of the racing season. The Leagues have not yet released the fixture lists, but it is anticipated that the league matches will start at the end of March.
The CTA Direct-sponsored club are on the look out for new recruits to bolster both the senior and junior squads. The club has equipment available for hire at the training sessions.
