SOME of the world's greatest cricketers will be appearing in Bolton during the summer.
West Indian Brian Lara, Pakistan's Wasim Akram and South Africa's Allan Donald are among a host of big-name players who could be called on for a charity match at Bolton Cricket Club on August 8 in aid of the Bolton Hospital Coronary Care Appeal.
The world class players are all members of the Maidstone-based Lashings Cricket Club, who will take on local cricketers from the Bolton area of the Civil Service Sports Council sports and leisure team. Council chairman Michael Mainon said: "This will be a great opportunity to showcase the talent we have in our local players as well as being a marvellous family day out."
The Lashings team play games for charity all over the country.
