THREE unsung heroes of Wanderers' survival squad have won Mike Whitlow's nominations for the Player of the Year awards.
The seasoned warrior makes no secret of his admiration of the skills of the highly-talented, world famous internationals Youri Djorkaeff and Jay-Jay Okocha but it's the more down-to-earth contributions of Per Frandsen, Simon Charlton and Anthony Barness that have impressed him most.
"We've got the good players like Youri and Jay-Jay but for the consistency of playing week-in, week-out it has to be those three - Per, Barney and Charlie - by a country mile!"
