THE Reebok Stadium could hold the key to world domination as rugby league's club showpiece hits Bolton.
British Super League champions St Helens take on Australian premiers Sydney City Roosters in their World Club Challenge clash tonight.
And the Saints go marching into the home of Bolton Wanderers hoping their 'second home' could prove their most potent weapon in their bid to stop the Roosters crowing.
They already have fond memories of the Premiership ground after beating the odds to see off the mighty Brisbane Broncos there two years ago.
And the man who scored the match-clinching drop goal believes the arena could play a major part this time around.
"I really like playing at the Reebok and beating Brisbane there was a great feeling," said star scrum half Sean Long.
"It is a fast track and a big wide pitch so that really suits our game because we like to throw the ball around a bit. Hopefully that will stand in our favour again.
"Obviously we would prefer to play the match on our home ground but that wouldn't be fair on Sydney.
"The Reebok is a great replacement, though. It's not far for our fans to travel and holds around 25,000 people, which is perfect for a game like this.
"If we played it anywhere bigger, we wouldn't fill it and the atmosphere wouldn't be as good. I went watching Bolton Wanderers there against Fulham a few weeks ago. It was a boring 0-0 game but the atmosphere was great."
For Long this match could be the perfect springboard to set his international career back on track, after injuries robbed him of a Great Britain Test place against both Australia and New Zealand over the past two years.
The Kangaroos are set to tour England again at the climax of this season and the world class playmaker is determined to regain his number seven jersey.
"Missing out on internationals has been hard for me," he said.
"They are the fastest and toughest games you will ever play in and to represent your country is the pinnacle of your career.
"Against Sydney I'll be coming up against some of the best players in the world, so it will be a great test.
"And it would be fantastic to have plenty of Wanderers fans come and lend their support. Even if they call us egg-chasers."
