THE case of a dog owner whose pet attacked an elderly man who later died has been adjourned for a week.
David O'Connor, aged 34, of Newbarn Street, Smithills, will appear at Bolton magistrates court next Friday. O'Connor is charged with owning a dog dangerously out of control. He did not appear in court yesterday.
Peter Carter, aged 83, was bitten in the neck and face by an English Bull Terrier outside his home in Thompson Road, Heaton, last November. He was taken to Wythenshaw Hospital for surgery but died later.
