THE comments from Michael Ricketts that his new club is bigger than Bolton were uncalled for.
If he was half the player that Youri Djorkaeff or Jay Jay Okocha are he would realise he still has a lot to learn.
There are many professionals at Bolton that he could have learned so much more from. To say he has gone to a club with better facilities is a joke. They cannot even put on a match when there is a little snow.
The Swedish national coaches, recent guests at the Reebok, thought the training and medical facilities were state of the art.
I think his comments were meant for the fans. He should not have acted like a child by taking cheap swipes at his fellow professionals. He owes Wanderers a lot more and should be grateful for what they did for him.
What Ricketts should have looked at is that Boro are not in the best of places and could slip further down the league. Now wouldn't that make for some good viewing on the last day of the season when they come to the Reebok.
I cannot see him making any better progress with Steve McClaren who strikes me as straight talking as Sam.
One complaint. I would like to see Ricardo Gardner play out on the left and encouraged to run at defences as often as possible. As for Ivan Campo, he is what makes football so interesting. Stick with him, I think he is a class act not a clown.
